If I could give 0 stars I would.

I have used Empire Today - Washington DC two times. The first time I was pleased with the salesman. He was very knowledgeable and helpful. Installation went smoothly and the carpet looks great.
The second time I used salesman Tom Welcomer. BIG MISTAKE. He failed to submit the proper paperwork for my installation. Then, he didn't catch his mistake nor did he notify me of the mistake causing me to sit around on the day of installation wondering why I had no carpet. Finally, when I called him he was not remorseful about the mistake. As a result of the delayed installation (his fault) I had to cancel 2 other installation appointments costing me a total of $250. Mr. Welcomer did not understand why I wanted Empire to reimburse me this cost and when I tried to cancel my order he said "why? that is like going to set your project behind even further". In order to "rectify" the situation, he guaranteed me delivery and installation the next day at 8am. Another failure. The installers didn't show up until 11am.

All that said, the carpet does look nice and was reasonably priced. Lesson learned: request a salesman other than Mr. Welcomer.
